š¤Announcing 3 Experiments In Partnership With Donotage.orgš¤
Hi and happy Tuesday!
In this newsletter, I explained what NAD+ is and why it is so important for longevity. Also, for those who are familiar with Dr. David Sinclairās information theory of aging, NAD+ plays an essential role for optimal sirtuin function, which is central to his theory.
I am keen to understand why my NAD+ levels are lower than those of my peers. Together with donotage.org, we will therefore run 3 experiments to try to understand this better.
Experiment I: I will do intermittent fasting (18:6) for 60 days, and then take a new NAD+ test to see if my level has changed. My 60 days will end on April 25.
Experiment II: On April 25, I will stop intermittent fasting. Instead, I will install a blue light filter on my computer to be used 24 hours a day, and I will use blue light-blocking glasses from 18:00 every day. 60 days later, I will take a new NAD+ test.
Experiment III: When experiment II is over, I will discontinue blue light protection and instead start taking a NAD+ supplement (probably NMN) for 60 days. At the end of the 60 days, I will take another NAD+ test.
From these experiments, we should be able to get indications as to whether intermittent fasting, blue light, and a NAD+ supplement impact my NAD+ level.
I am keen to see what these experiments will reveal.

Whatās next?
Next week, I will send you a few selected news stories from the world of longevity.
For any new readers: I am trying to live to (at least) 151. To get there, I follow 2 main principles:
Live a super-healthy life (based on what science deems positive for longevity)
Measure whatās going on in my body and tune any metrics that are off to become optimal
I also summarize interesting news and stories from the longevity space. And I share everything worth sharing with you.
If you enjoyed this newsletter, I would be very grateful if you gave it a ālikeā (the ā¤ļø at the top).
Have a good day,
Johan
